Aaaaaaat laaaaaast!

The sky above is bluuuueee.

No, but really. I haven't posted for donkeys.

I'm only upset because when I look back on these posts there's a big old chuck missing.

A lot has happened since the last post; I've took the majority of my exams and I'm currently doing the work placement at Express and Star!!!

It's so much better than I expected!!! Let's just say I'm not fetching people's iced vanilla skinny lattes.

The placement is actually so interesting; I've only been there for four days and yet I feel I have a good idea on what make a good article and what skills I will need in order to pursue this type of career.

I may or may not do a blog post on what skills and tips etc to fellow budding journalists ;)

Even if the journalist route does not work out for me, the experience I have gained in the matter of a few days will no doubt come in handy.

I encourage anyone who is thinking of working in the media to try for a placement at their local newspaper, it really does provide you with a greater understanding of how it all fits together!!!

Tarahhhh for now
(Is it Cilla Black who says that??!)

Gym??? What??? You work out???

HELLOOOOO!!!

My SECOND post (I am more proud than I should be)

Currently I'm sitting on the floor with my laptop and have just came back from an extremely tiring work out at the gym. Side note: I'm eating a ham and salad YES SALAD sandwich whilst typing this because working out gives me the nibbles.

And no, I have not been going to the gym for eternity; I am certainly NOT as fit as I want to be, I still struggle with breathing with my asthma and motivation and just genuinely moving...

HOWEVER, I have got to say that joining the gym and spending £20 a month (cries a little because money) that would probably be spent on things and stuff has been put to GOOD use!!! I am actually exercising!!!

People may argue that working out at home costs nothing blah blah blah but when you're like me and struggle with motivating yourself, then the gym is the place for you! (I'm not sponsored by the gym or anything) Quite frankly I don't earn a lot and when my money is spent I make sure I put it to good use; I believe that the reason I work out at least 3 times a week is because I would feel I have given money away if I didn't go.

Money is my motivation ;) (cringes a little)

So yeah, that is how I stay slightly fit and hopefully as time goes on I'll be super muscly and stuff.

Diet? Like food? Well, I'm working on eating healthy; you can't give up everything can you?

Ta ta for now!
P.s Sorry for getting a little paragraph happy in this blog but well... I felt like it.

Introduction thing I guess

Hey hey hey!!!

I'm Amy and I'm not quite sure why I'm creating a blog but I will scan my jumbled and chaotic mind on a few reasons...

A. I am feeling REALLY REALLY REALLY unmotivated right now, I need some kind of inspiration of some sort (hopelessly clings onto the superstition in me)

B. I enjoy writing! I am currently studying at Sixth Form and have NO idea what I want to do in the future. I have received a work placement at the Express and Star which is the local newspaper in my area (like a 'taster' week of what it's like being a super cool hip journalist) and I am looking forward to it but also want to clasp anxiety into the tiny pile of shit it is.

C. I like the idea of having a virtual diary that I can look back on when I'm old and wrinkly.

For starters, my blog will not be on anything specific; I enjoy a lot of things in life. I'm like a jack of all hobbies.

I will try so hard to stick at this; I want to make wrinkly Amy proud.

Ya so...
